Model-based PID-5 domain clusters and levels of impairment in self and interpersonal functioning

In the DSM-5 Section III Alternative Model for Personality Disorders (AMPD), severity of personality pathology (criterion A) and presence pathological trait domains facets B) are assessed independently. Recent studies have challenged this assumption independence but interplay between criterion A B remains subject further research. Using model-based cluster analysis on domains, we compared domain clusters with respect to measures. Results revealed a six-cluster solution. Four six represented gradual increase in paralleling an severity. Two did not follow pattern: Anxious-Detached type exhibiting overall high scores, emotionally stable psychopathy number low scores.
